Re: MERRY XMAS SUBJECTIVIST'S..........
And a very merry Christmas from me :D Started early with the Black Isle Yellowhammer, treated myself to a case of mixed beers this year! Always liked this xmas beer myself. Will knock a moose over at 100 yards. And the label is so traditional and christmassie to boot. La Mere Noel http://br...

Re: Linn, Naim, Rega - oh bugger!
I doubt HiFi + sells well anywhere outside of America*. Does any HiFI mag not covering A/V and digital source devices sell well these days? I hear rumours WHF isn't doing exactly great any more, and they have spread themselves so thin to catch all generic A/V interests. *Excepting the popular free g...

Re: Linn, Naim, Rega - oh bugger!
Nah, you're mistaken or have been on the Whiskey laced Robertsons Jammy... For a company that doesn't have a marketing dept (like Richard no product brochures available) and has not even bothered to update their website with the news that one of their amps won a 2011 WHF product of the year award, t...

Re: Linn, Naim, Rega - oh bugger!
Ahem... excuse me but I demand a retraction of Rega from your list of marketing man's Hi-Fi ! First of all Rega don't do ANY paid for magazine/web advert marketing of their gear. Roy Gandy is adamant about that. It's word of mouth / dealer only + reviews good or bad. Pound for pound it's great value...

Re: Cable connection to speaker terminals query
Think it was my imigination Doc (as usual)... new LS5 sonic subtlety and I did move the speakers and probably did not go back in quite same spot (bass is probably sensitive to positioning with rear ported Rega RS1's despite Rega's claims to the contrary). LS1's will be heading your way next week. Ta.

Cable connection to speaker terminals query
Doc how much cable connector metal has to be in contact with terminals for full signal to come through from amp? Is there such a thing as less than 100% signal from cable to speaker? The reason I ask is that as feared I did specify slightly too short LS5, and as such it's not quite long enough reall...

Thank god... I thought we had a post focussing on dubious 80's pop act of same name. This has to remain a Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot and trademark beret freezone

Re: Rega RS1
Hi Daz I know it is very subjective but how do you find the sound of the RS1 with the NVA? I have an AP30 which I guess is much the same as the AP20 sound wise Subjectively I would say they are a fabulous perfect match Nina  Effortlessly musical, high speaker sensitivity means even AP20 driv...

Re: Rega RS1
How may I help ... I do indeed have Rega RS1's hooked up to an AP20. What would you like to know?

Re: A Little NVA Company History
Good news for Jason. Is he leaving Big Blue (IBM) then? Is he moving close or will it be a long distance partnership using video links / skype etc - which is all possible these days of course. Interesting about working for yourself being really tough vs the misery of working for a company. There are...
