Well, I still have a pair of Royd Doublet in my second system. They are now driven by an AP20.
In the meantime, I have changed many NVAs, and now my main system is made by a couple of Opera Quinta New loudspeakers driven by two couples of A80.

Re: NVA And Hifi Madness
Ninanina just makes me remember that many years ago, I think in 1998, when I decided to buy my first "Hi-End"system in a very good shop of Udine, Italy, the final choice was between a AudioNote (but do not remember the model) and a NVA AP30. Needless to tell you who won (along with the Roy...

Re: A80 + fitted Shinko sa and headphones
... Is it Top or Bottom (or both) which should be checked ? ... Waiting for the answer from our Doc I offer my experience with these mk1 beasts: the bottom side becomes hot only when playing very loud and in that case it could be dangerous, while the top plate tends to remain always warm and is les...

Re: A80 + fitted Shinko sa and headphones
Depending on the temperature of your room, probably a bit of more air below the bottom ampli would be safer. I just increased the height of my A80 feet as in this image: http://imageshack.us/a/img210/5855/nvaa80x4201205232s.jpg Excuse me, but unfortunately I can not refrain from saying that the hole...

Re: First steps into MC for music
The argument of the two ears to support the futility of multi-channel is false, because in nature we are quite clearly designed to be able to distinguish whether a sound comes from in front or behind. Like many other mammals, on the other hand. The real question lies in the source, which in most cas...
