Re: Computer Audio. Wish There Was a Bullet Proof Blue Print

Does Durio have Tidal integration? And further; can anyone confirm which other Pi OS have Tidal integration? I'm afraid I don't actually know what Tidal is. I use Volumio, and have tried the OS that came pre-installed and Rune, all of which worked fine without any problems. It plays pretty well any...

Re: Computer Audio. Wish There Was a Bullet Proof Blue Print

Hi. I'm another member who's going to recommend the Raspberry Pi, and add my vote for the Durio Sound version, which I liked more than the £5k Classe CDP I was using at the time. I burned my CD collection to disc, sold the CDP, and have never looked back. Here's what you'd need if you decide to try ...

Re: Did anyone have audiolab before Nva?

Well my opinion is buy the starter system as advertised at ebay, P20, A20 plus free cables, it will cost you £300. Even at this level it will tell you what it is all about, what is going on. It is peanuts for what it does, and is a base to trade up from and *explore* the process of what the more ex...

Edit to the above: it was an 8000c pre, not a. Don't seem to be able to edit the post directly.

Re: Did anyone have audiolab before Nva?

I had an Audiolab pre/power combo in the early nineties (before Chinese ownership) until I changed (back) to NVA around 2012 ish. I think they were designated as 8000p and 8000a IIRC - cost about £1200 in 1993. I was very happy with them during that time. I thought it was a very decent set-up with m...

Re: Tweeter Repairs

Nice one Walt, glad it worked out well for you...... :guiness; Over the moon Jammy  FWIW I've been using my Doublets whilst the RR2's were out of commission, and I can say, hand on heart, the RR2's are my preferred speaker. I've read loads of comments from people saying that these spea...

Re: Tweeter Repairs

The ferrofluid arrived from the USA on Saturday, and the results as to whether the tweeter was repairable or not was a big fat yes. It's singing away as I type, so in this instance a repair was indeed possible :guiness; Also, for posterity, and for others who might find themselves reading this post ...
