Re: P50 SA
Don't pop in very often but here's a thread on a lovely piece of NVA - glad your enjoying it I've got a mid-90's P50 (wooden sides) bought new in 1996 uplifted to SA plus whatever the current spec was in about 2013 by Richard - this was replaced by a recon P90SA supplied by Paul a few years ago - wh...

Re: Phono stages
For what its worth I had a Rega P3 which I swapped out for a Technics 1210 - a huge (surprising for me at the time) improvement - moved on to a Lenco which is so so much more - so definitely look in that direction - there are ready made plinths on eBay to house the deck quite easily plus a dedicated...

Re: Did Anyone Do the NVA challenge in the 90`'s
My introduction to NVA was when in 1996 I went to Doug Brady Hifi (Warrington) to buy (audition) a Naim 42/110 as I had decided that I needed to go down the pre/power route so having listened to the Naim kit I asked what else did they have (as I had all afternoon) that I could listen to. Can’t remem...

Re: Turntable mat
Maybe on a single platter model it would be different though the idler is 'rubber' edged in any caseDaniel Quinn wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 12:32 pm The lenco idler runs along the bottom of the platter . The rubber mat is there for a reason.
Tried most but always go back to the original mat.

Re: Turntable mat
I have the Achromat on my Lenco too - seems to work well - seems to be lots of good feedback on the copper mats for the Lenco, but pricey........

Re: Can the world act fast?
Can China, India, Africa, South America be persuaded that they need to do without the economic advantages that Europe and the US gained for themselves through the use of fossil fuels? I think the question is can they find a way to get those advantages through following a 'green' approach rather tha...
