Re: Primare CD22 player

Didn't take my speakers and amps along to Edinburgh, as my listening plan is two-staged. First is the visit to the store in Edinburgh where I listened to the Primare CD22 along with a Primare integrated amp (same range) and pair of Kef speakers priced about £800.00. The sound at the shop was good bu...

Primare CD22 player

Attended a listening session at HiFi Corner in Edinburgh on Saturday last. Wanted to hear the Primare CD 22 as a replacement for my aging Rega Apollo/Brio DAC combo. HiFiC set up a system with the CD player and a Primare integrated amp with some KEF (circa £800) speakers. First of all my NVA kit ble...

Re: December Bake off near Preston

For me, I apologize. I got the weekend wrong and will be in Southport this coming weekend, one week late. Awful that so many didn't show.

Don't know what else to say really.

Re: Building a new comp

It's not simple I'm afraid..... There is little point in upgrading your existing components as new stuff is so much cheaper. It's a bit like spending £1000 on new bits for your 1998 car when the same amount will buy you a 2005 model with change. You're going to have to bite the bullet I'm afraid, an...

Re: Distance between components

There was a question....

How far is ‘far enough’ with the BMU? Could owners comment please?

So far no comments. Is there a minimum distance for the BMU to sit away from power amps et al?

Re: Distance between components

Interesting post... and replies. I didn't realise that the BMU may have such an effect upon other equipment. Presently I have the 2 x A70 power-amps and the BMU on the same glass shelf, with the R-hand mono only about 5ins from the BMU. I have noticed a buzzing (nothing horrible), but time to move I...

Re: NVA TFS

Thank you. I was already doubtful, but now confirmed. I'm not prepared to exchange my Rega Apollo/Brio combo for this.
