Re: Doctors Strike....
Nor do I, but what is the true reality? None of us really knows. I understand that Doc practises or or has practised at one time, 'Tai Chi'. I myself practise a rudimentary form of 'Qigong' from which 'Tai Chi' is apparently derived. I think the teachings of Jeddah Mali (see on YouTube), are as clos...

Re: Doctors Strike....
Imagine,if you were God; playing your harp upon a high cloud, then you would surely rate doctors, nurses, and any virtually any other health professional above the typical nincompoop, so called 'professional footballer'. What is greater in the history of humanity, helping to save lives or kicking a ...

Re: Doctors Strike....
All this pales into insignificance when you look at the salaries paid to professional footballers in the Premier League, many of whom obviously have only double digit IQs. However, they are not the people conning us because they simply do not have the intelligence. We know who it is is really don't ...

Hadcock 228H
Does anyone remember this tone arm? It was a unipivot design that utilised a silicone bath for damping; which leaked and therefore sounded different every time it was used! I think it cost me about £59.50 in the 1970's, but I see a current version is available at £800+!!. At it's best though, it was...

Re: Immigrants
Most of the wars in the world today appear to be caused by Muslims and their ridiculous medieval religion. I cannot understand why the so-called 'migrants' in Calais want to come to this country - they do not integrate, hate us and they must know by now that we do not want them here. Clearly the att...

Re: Unreliable amps
In those days I also had a very unreliable car: a Triumph TR7. What a disaster; all TR7s were notoriously unreliable, but mine was a Friday afternoon job! A poor design made worse by constant strikes at the Speke factory. Wasn't even that quick.

Unreliable amps
Back in the 1970's I bought a Lecson AC1 /AP1 from a friend. Surely one of the most beautiful amplifiers of all time and it sounded fantastic - completely blowing away my Quad 33 / 303. Unfortunately, it proved very unreliable (prone to 'exploding' electrolytics I was told). It was then stored in th...

Re: am i round the twist?
I have a Marantz 6005 CD player which I use as a secondary choice for non-serious or background listening. This has a reversable two-pinned plug into standard British mains plug adaptor. I have experimented with this for fun and one way around is definitely better than the other....it can drive you ...

Hi, Try Russ Audio, 10 Fore St., Barriper, Camborne, TR14 0QR (T.0331 237877). Don't think he's Russ Andrews so prices may be reasonable!
