Re: Quad ESL 57 buying advice, please
I have a pair which have had the One Thing Audio treatment, ie new panels all round. Previous to this I had a more original pair, like a poster above I preferred the more original, and wish i had't sold them on of a "better" pair. Current ones are an unusual white finish with some oak legs...

Re: BMU Problem
@ Savvypaul
Max power consumption 110V, yes used them before.
However, all immaterial as the 4 times re-try has worked a treat and all seems to be working now.
So firstly big thanks for the suggestions and secondly what is the mysterious power of 4 that fixes the BMU ?

Re: BMU Problem
How many times have you tried plugging it in? Is anything plugged into the BMU? Tried twice upstairs using the same socket it used to be in and another one , then a further one downstairs all with nothing plugged into it. First, check that nothing has fallen into any of the sockets. You may need to...

BMU Problem
I have had my BMU for about 3 years now, however it has been out of use, stored away for the last 18 months. Now having the chance to bring it back into use I find that when plugging it in the fuse box trips out every time. Does it at any of the sockets in the house. Never did this previously, any i...

Re: Which Cubes
I have done several diy cubes, first size were between 1 & 2 then bbc clones- my room is 3m x 4m & each speaker filled it. The sound gets ‘bigger’ / deeper so I would go with the biggest u can but allow for Ls5 or Ls6 in the budget Thanks got LS6's already, some amps would give me the full ...

Re: Which Cubes
I see you have ELS57s at the moment. I expect they are three or four feet into the room to get them to work properly. I had some as my first 'proper' speakers and I have a friend who has the german reproduction 57s made from the original tooling. My 57s were about three feet out in a room similar t...

Re: Which Cubes
I have some diy cube type speakers using nva drivers in a similar sized room to yours. Massive 90 L cabs with 12 " bass drivers. So size is not an issue usually. Amp size not a problem either. Get the best ones you can afford. Cube 1 have bigger mid bass divers for more bottom end. Do you list...

Which Cubes
I'm tempted by the discount available at the moment on the Cubes, now I know I can always return if not right but would be grateful for any advice on which model to choose for my room. 3.4m L x 3.5m W x 2.8 H, Amplifier is 30w. The room isn't the best so could very well benifit for semi omni approac...
