Re: Your last listen
The first two Rare Bird albums are superb. Not got a single bit of interest after that. Next stop Fields LP: Graham Field from Rare Bird, Andy McCulloch who played drums on King Crimson 'Lizard' LP & Alan Barry. Superb album lads Nice! It's been many years since I listened to Rare Bird. I'll ha...

Re: Your last listen
Like that Armageddon album. My latest find out of the dank and misty morass of 70's rock is the album 'Ma' from Rare Bird. An amazing mix of Prog, Soul and Funk. Reminds me of Van Der Graaf Generator one minute and Sly & the Family Stone the next. Check out the opening 17-minute title t...

Re: Your last listen
I had forgotten how good this album is. Keith Relf's last work before his untimely death from electrocution.

Re: Decision...NVA Phono or amp?
Hi roseyposey, just googled Red Wine Tap X and can find nothing, is it a power supply for the mono 70.2? NVA A80's would certainly give a little more power although they are not tube amps. The big advantage is they could be purchased on the 30 day no like refund policy. Just out of curiosity what p...

Re: Decision...NVA Phono or amp?
HI there, I Have the Coincidence Total Eclipse's with updated drivers and im thinking my Red Wine 70.2 mono blocks don't have enough power to drive these beasts. they are 35 watts per side.I was thinking of getting the Tap x as well.Do you find good synergy with the Coincidences with the tap x? Do ...

Re: Your last listen
Have been listening to a few new Tangerine Dream purchases on cd, Rubycon, Stratoshere, Force Majeure, Ricochet and Phaedra as well as Ulrich Schnauss (Thanks DSJR) but today dug out Sting's oldie, The Dream of the Blue Turtles on vinyl. Great music and recording. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4...

A40 Mk II vs A80 Mk II...?
Doc, Other than the power output, is there any difference between the two that impacts sound quality? My Coincident speakers are 92db efficient with an impedance of 14 ohms never dropping below 10 ohms so I am thinking I could easily live with the A40's and have some money left over to buy the Phono...

The Stooges for sure. But Bill Haley isn't hard rock.
