Re Meadowlark kestrel speakers

Hey Mr Stu
Yes the man who developed the Kestrel brand - Pat McGinty - had good respect in the community. I have had these for - must be twenty years now. I didnt know anything about them when bought - they just sounded good - still do.

Pixies - Doolittle

Love Pixies, Come on Pilgrim, Surfa Rosa,Doolittle, were great but after that started to lose it IMHO, however later spawned Breeder - Kim Deal has fantastic vocals. Pod is an excellent album cover.
Frank Black and the Catholics not quite - for me

Re: Linear v Switched mode PSUs - which is 'best' for audio?

In the end I preferred the poweroak battery to supply the Hugo 2, and the original Chord switched power supply to the MScaler. I fou...

Re: Linear v Switched mode PSUs - which is 'best' for audio?

Interesting indeed, another option is a battery. I found that a Poweroak K2 battery that supplies a USB 5 V DC signal to the Chord Hugo2 DAC, much better than either a switched or linear PS. The same battery will also supply 12 V or 20 V , its also rechargeable whilst supplying

Eurythmics - In the Garden.

I may be mistaken but think this was their first LP ?

Its a good test of a system, digital version SQ can be a bit harsh on the ears, but beguiling all the same
