Re: The BMU Bandits
I had one of the first run and it stayed and won't be moving. The immediate effect was like having an extension to the living room as the rear wall seemed to have been moved back 6 feet - incredible. Only downside was the hum which I had from the A80s seemed to move to the BMU but that has reduced o...

Re: Richard Dunn
Very sorry to here of Richards passing, a great loss. Like some others here my fist experience was an 80s AP20 which I still have and use. In the last few years finding real joy in the newer NVA kit and visiting Richard in Epping and Sidcup for upgrades and assistance which all moved me on my journe...

Re: 'Popping/thumping' sound from system
If it any help I had interference which just appeared and eventually I tracked down to the wall wart power supply for an ethernet switch. Replaced that and problem sorted.

Re: NME
My mum was on front desk and switch board for NME in Long Acre. I still have review copies of albums from the 70s. Nick Kent hosted me at 14 I think with my younger brother for an all dayer at Alexandra Palace. A nice bloke.

Re: NVA Reviews (THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR STASHING REVIEWS)
LS6 Biwire I took advantage of the Docs excellent pre Xmas deal to upgrade my speaker cables from LS5 to LS6, not because I was unhappy or dissatisfied with the LS5. You know the temptation was always there and the deal just tipped me over. They are biwired only because another forum member was sel...

Re: CUBIX PRO
Well having seen that one in the flesh I can say it does look stunning, although I might have to put a mirror behind it to admire the heatsink. A very shiny cracker.

Cube 1
Just some preliminary findings from first use of the Cube 1s that I got from walterwhite. First I should explain that they have been bi-wire enabled, a mod by the Doc, before I had them. I have an order in for bi-wire LS5s but for now are using my LS1s with shorting plugs, not ideal but I couldn't w...

Re: Forum room for members system pics
How about gluing four acrylic spacers between the transformer and the side, front and back panels? They would not need to be full height, say 50-75% of the height of the transformer.

Re: How time flies!
Still got my AP20 which I bought 2nd hand in the late 80s, I think. When back for a new volume pot and could do with a bit more TLC but operates as a stand-in when required and still sounds great.
