Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak

I meant to say there is a finite world supply of equipment (not infinite). I can't see how any govt could easily abolish the Welsh and Scottish administrations and hence the separated Welsh and Scottish health services. Big mistake by Blair. Certainly his own policies and nothing Thatcher or Major w...

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak

The problems start from two angles in my view. Firstly the experts underestimated the spread of the virus initially which meant the full measures were not implemented soon enough (by about 2 weeks). Secondly no government in the world or health service was prepared for this apart from Korea who had ...

Re: Coronavirus restrictions: are they legal

I can quote stats as well. Geoff in the interests of h/s members I nominate you to catch the virus and see if you recover. In the interests of fairness I'll get flu. As it is very likely that most cases are asymptomatic... Fact is for some the Virus is fatal due to genetics or underlying health con...

Re: MC Cartridges

CaterhamKev, I can't help with the AT ART9 as I haven't heard one by now. Seems to be a great cart according to many positive reviews from owners in forums. I do own an AT OC30 from the early 90s (was one below the ART-1 at that time) and it is still sounding very nice. Currently, my personal favor...

Re: Coronavirus restrictions: are they legal

Of course it's legal. A bill was passed through parliament yesterday to make any of these measures legal. Question is if police can enforce them or anyone actually gets fined. I'm sure if many ignore this there will be a really serious clampdown like in European countries. I would like to see stripp...

Re: Robbing Bar Stewards

Does the £750 include fitting? I believe so and according to someone on Hoffman it includes new belt and springs as well as the mounting bits. So I would say if fitting is around £250 the actual cost of all these parts is around £500. It's actually not the worst Linn rip off so far but it's not goi...

Re: Bristol Show

The small Klipsch sounded fine. Nothing outstanding. They don't look tat and I wouldn't say overpriced. Had a lot of recommendations from online reviewers. Now the Classic speakers are generally really good sounding if you like that type of presentation, but they are becoming overpriced in UK. The ...
