If there was magic smoke then I didn't witness it. Was working fine yesterday, went to put some tunes on after dinner...dead. Checked the usual...not responding. About 18 months old. Sudden death without signs of malfunction could simply be a fuse (internal). I'm assuming you checked the plug fuse....

The Rega Apollo is a compact top loader. Known quantity and no drawer to fail. CD isn't about to disappear anytime soon judging by the number of expensive box sets being released and there is a vast existing supply out there in the used mkt. Checked it out- it’s the R version- rare & pricey at ...
