Re: CUBE 1
If only....... There’s 2 x PL71, P90SA, the cubes, their stands, 2 x bbpsu and 2 x phono 2 plus a teddy pardo dac in the loft. The statement amp was just too heavy to get into the loft. We were looking to put the house on the market but are now delaying the decision. The house certainly has a mains ...

Re: CUBE 1
I had my cube 3’s on wooden stands recommended to me by the Doc. They are hollow but I’ve never bothered to fill them. The speakers were on top of the stands and toed on slightly.
Incredible speakers and excellent value. The only problem is that my entire system is in the loft.........

Re: "Freedom" of speech
I don’t have a problem with somebody having an opinion different to mine although I do get angry when the other person tries to take some sort of authority because they believe that their opinion is somehow “more important” than mine. Social media cos have had to balance giving a platform to Trump w...

Re: I don't miss 'football'. I miss 'THE FOOTBALL'.
I’m a Millwall fan who lives in Essex so surrounded by WHU 😄 One of the good things about supporting a not very good team is that when a bit of success does come along it is so so sooooooo sweet. We booked a holiday to Disneyland in April 2004 and I remember seeing an advert outside a bar - breakfas...

Re: Naim Muso Qb
As a product I think it’s quite clever. The cachet of Naim in a small box that “young people” can play in their small homes no that they have been priced out of the housing market.
Am I being cynical ? Probably, but that’s the way I see it. Very clever marketing by the boys from Salisbury.

Re: I Tried So hard Bands you've tried to get, but just don't
I feel I should like Rush as bands of their ilk and vintage take up a lot of my music collection, but no matter how many times I've tried over many years they still leave me cold. I’m a big Rush fan. It’s not just the music. Neil Peart’s lyrics are sometimes very profound. Three incredible musician...

Re: I Tried So hard Bands you've tried to get, but just don't
I might be taking this thread off at a tangent but...... There are a couple of bands who have made one album I like and the rest sounds to my ears like they should have stayed in their bedrooms. I remember the first time I heard the Yes album. It sounded so different from anything else I had heard a...

Re: System warm up
I remember a visit to NVA towers and an integrated amp was sounding a bit “flabby” ie the bass was not quite right. The Doc assured me that the amp was cold and after 30 minutes it started to sound a lot more like people playing musical instruments. I leave my NVA on 24/7 unless it needs to be power...

Re: Help with phono stage
I bought a phono 2 and had the same Hum problem as Ordinaryman. The Doc advised me to “shuffle the pack” and after rearranging the location of the amp the problem went away. I’ll second Sav’s advice.
