Re: Similar cables ?

I had a mains cable from them, not sure if it was the Candour but there were 2 types if I remember. I had the cheaper one which was basically CY shielded cable. Actually I did have a mains block from them too, that was a standard mains block with a couple of components inside and a length of the mo...

Similar cables ?

In the mid 90's I purchased some cables by Campaign Audio Design of Cardiff. The interconnects were very stiff solid copper with a PTFE dielectric. Visually they appeared similar to NVA cables.
Anyone remember this company ?
I still have a 'candour' mains cable by them sitting in a draw.

My first speakers were Wharfdale bookshelfs in the early 90s with a Rotel amp and Sony TT which had a vari-speed control dial ! Good memories.

NVA P20 and A20 Passive Pre and Amplifier...

Have to re-post this question as it was in the wrong place.
Standmount/bookshelf speakers that would be good with this amp setup ? I saved the richer sounds link to Q acoustics 3020, which look alright. My budget is around the £200 mark.
I'm lost in a sea of speakers.

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Thanks for the suggestions. The acoustic energy actives look good so they go on my list. Back in the 90s I auditioned the NVA integrated statement and as good as it sounded at first, the result was that it highlighted the shortcomings in all my other components. Making me realise that if I were to k...

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Greetings to all. Having sold most of my hi-fi gear some years ago I thought I'd rid myself of the need for a decent set up. Of course the need never went away, it just morphed into " Oh computer audio is fine, even low quality mp3 podcasts", and has now come around to bite me in the 'loss...
