Re: Holidays....yay
I haven't had a holiday "away" for well over 10 years. Jeanette wasn't well enough for quite some time, and after she died there seemed little point (or enthusiasm) to bugger off somewhere strange on my own. I can get solitude at home, so why pay somebody else' for it? Yes, I am antisocia...

Re: Stu
What's the term used for somebody who wants to be different and goes out of their way to be so ? Freak or unique ?
One of the reasons I came to hfs and bought nva gear was because I wanted to be different from the rival flocks of sheep that I was encountering on my travels through Internet hifi land.

Re: I have joined the mainstream
Did somebody say simple ? That word sums me up perfectly. Minimalism is what I crave these days. Having nearly had my brain spontaneously combust it's the only way I can function these days. I looked at Sonos a while back and can't remember why i discounted them  It's funny the purchasing pre...

Re: Holidays....yay
Pleased you enjoyed your hols away from everywhere, not exactly my cup of tea but we're all different. We have 20mph zones near schools which is fine, but surely out of school hours and weekends that should then revert back to 30mph. Hello Dave, On a holiday I crave remoteness and seclusion rather ...

Re: Holidays....yay
Nice pictures. Wales is a great place for a holiday if the weather is good. We wait for a good forecast and go at short notice. Went to St Davids during last September's heat wave. Consider yourself lucky you don't have to live with the 20mph speed limit. Like many I will no longer vote Labour in W...

Re: Holidays....yay
Looks idyllic Stu. I could fancy spending a week there - even in the rain! 8-) Yes, it was beautiful in the Berwyn mountain range. It didn't rain constantly but every day was wet at some point. We all felt very relaxed until hitting the motorway around Chester on the way home. How anybody drives fo...

Re: Holidays....yay
Spent the last week in Llangollen, North Wales. Chose here because the accommodation was a lodge with fishing lakes for my son. In the middle of nowhere and didn't see many people (a bonus). On the whole the weather was atrocious but the surroundings and fishing very relaxing. The stupid 20 mph zone...

There must be a specialist willing and able to sort the tracking out for you. Its not something I've ever messed about with. I think once rust has taken hold it is only possible to slow it down, not stop it. Welding new steel in is the only way to get rid. I can't do the whole thing though. There ar...

Re: Stu
You'll be starting an auto-refurb business at this rate !!! :auto-car: My 1996 Toyota Jam import “Bus” needs exactly what Stu is doing to both rear wheel arches, sadly my welding skills managed to just aboutbraze a bike handlebars on and that was the end of trying it ever again, I can see the thing...
