I like all the previously noted ladies especially Natalie Merchant both with 10,000 maniacs and solo. Would add the following as worth a listen First aid Kit (Scandinavian sisters) Liy and Madeleine (American sister) Smoke Fairies ( just brilliant) Not solo artists but all ladies and regular visitor...
