Sutemos - free music on archive.org

I copied their electronic music many years ago and still have it on CD recorded from mp3. Stumbled across this stash and there are some flac recordings. A triple album with flac; Various Artists - Intelligent Toys: We Make Music (Sutemos027) https://archive.org/details/sutemos?sort=-reviewdate Sutem...

Re: Air tube earphones

Thanks for the response Fretless and the web link. I have bought a £10.00 pair of air tube earphones on Amazon UK and even though the sound quality is crap compared to my Sennheiser and Sony ear buds. Sound quality is not what's needed, just the removal of active magnets from my head area. So far so...

Re: Air tube earphones

Thanks chaps. The stethoscope earphones would be good as I have material to wrap/block around the centre speaker EMF but I need the soft tube style. I think ebay have a pair without magnets in the ear piece. They start at 4 or 5 pounds so I'll take a punt on a couple and go from there. @ Geoff R.G - ...

Air tube earphones

Has anyone tried air tube headphones/ear buds ? I don't need decent sound quality but something without magnets or wires carrying an electric charge. Have looked at many but they all seem crap or miss-labelled or have magnets to hold them together when not being used. I want just the sound without a...

Re: Music for Christmas

The spirit of Christmas, Lemmy style. Memories of some summer/autumn gigs but don't remember if we saw them play near santa time.

Re: CD player with memory

This is decent as a stand alone CD ripper / storage / network player (it has an onboard DAC) and can be upgraded, later, by adding a network bridge and / or an external DAC. I started that way, and mine is still going strong after 8 years - I now just use it as attached storage / server to my Micro...

Re: CD player with memory

You can just use an old / 2nd hand laptop with a CD/DVD drive. Install EAC or DbPowerAmp for ripping, Foobar 2000 for playback and a USB HDD or NAS for extra storage. USB out to a DAC and you are up and running. I'm probably too lazy for that setup. Was looking at one box solutions and foun...

Re: CD player with memory

Having flipped through a few old hi-fi+ mags, it looks like it could have been the Musical Fidelity M6 Encore 225 music system (hi-fi+ Oct 2017 £4399). Although I remember a US player advertised elsewhere...hazy memories at best. Was probably when the tech was new to the market. The latest Brennan l...
