Re: A20x experience

Thank you Richard for the advice regarding the hum. I will look into it. Thanks also for the link to hificollective and the mentioning of Nick there. I normally buy parts at his place. They are very customer friendly and know about their stuff. When there is more time to DIY again, I will look into ...

A20x experience

Finally, here are some impressions of my new A20x amp. The A20x was at first supposed to replace the A30 according to the Doc’s info. In the meantime the Doc changed his mind as the A20x was apparently not an improvement over the A30 and the A20x will not be produced anymore. Anyway, as it is the fi...

Re: NVA Reviews (THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR STASHING REVIEWS)

Currently work is crazy and consumes also a lot of my spare time, so I have been quiet as regards to the forum. As I bought myself a bit more NVA equipment :epopc: - A20x and upgrade to phono 3 (driven by one BBPSU) and a 2nd hand P50sa thanks to Derek – here are first impressions on the Phono2 MC /...

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards

Thanks Norbert. That amp you built with 300VA R core and all that capacitance must have weighed a ton. I considered buying some R cores once but the only ones I could get were in France and I wasn't sure about the whole thing. They were manufactured in India. I believe they a cross between a toroid...

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards

By the way, my A20x arrived and it is warming up with music :-) (it is tiny in comparison to your build, though...) ;-)

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards

Been a bit busy. Have a look now    http://www.ecogardenmaintenance.co.uk/diyaudio/P1000143.JPG? Added another psu for the front end. EI transformers and some more Avondale cap banks. All wired in with the tinned 2mm solid copper wire. I knew the psu was good to go as it was in...

Re: G99 and Neat

Congratulations Richard, That is a superb combination! :-) and it looks gorgeous, too! I whole-heartedly agree with your comparison to the 401... Does this one also have an improved bearing? To my ears, the Lenco idler wheels in a decent plinth, with improved bearing and with a well-chosen ar...

Re: G99 and Neat

Beautiful tt and tonearms! :-)
It's a bummer that the G99 is quite rare these days...

Very happy with my upgraded L75, though. Thanks to many useful tips at the Lenco Heaven Forum! :-)

Re: A20x

Seems so that it's a good idea to try a NVA power amp one day on my horns  Waiting for the A20x to be an available product... :epopc: best, Norbert Just had the first 3 back from Dave yesterday, so it is available. Dave said he didn't expect the difference but the 20x is clearly better. I ha...
