Re: Phono Stage Bake-Off - Durham - Arkless, NVA, Graham Slee +???

Many thanks to Paul and Andy for the informative reviews of the phono stage comparison.
Makes me thinking... ;)

Did all the stages have warm up time before you auditioned them?

Best,
Norbert

Paul, thanks for your reply. I have noted to bring a box of apricot dumplings for you, in case a visit works out one day (and maybe some more Viennese sweets as we have a variety here...) ;-) Would be great if it worked out one day... Please, let me know in case you visit Vienna the next time. Maybe...

Re: Your last listen

Another inspiring vocal album I bought lately 2nd hand and love to listen to is Johnny Hartmann - Once in Every Life, 1980 LP on the underrated but excellent Bee Hive label. What a voice of the true master of ballads.:-)

Re: Your last listen

Currently listening to "Lou Rawls Sings, Les McCann Ltd. Plays - Stormy Monday" Capitol Mono LP. Recorded in 1962. I love this record, Lou Rawls' voice and his soulful interpretations of Blues and Jazz standards. Great album.

Thanks for your nice welcomuing words karatestu! :-) I had owned quite a bit of equipment over the years, which I think is the fate of many, who have been for some decades in this hobby. ;-) Current system: TTs: DIY upgraded Lenco L75 with Schick 12" tonearm and a Linn LP12, Ekos, Lingo from th...

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Hi to everyone, My name is Norbert and I'm from Austria. I've been into this audio hobby for a long time (more than 40 years) mainly to enjoy listening to various kinds of music. As I haven't learned to play an instrument (besides playing air guitar every now and then), listening to music via a dedi...
