Am I the only one who gets the point !

Its a comparison of which amplifer sounds best based upon how much a purchaser would need to part with thier hard earned dosh to own one . It is totally , utterrly and bloody irrelevant to the competition as to how the price is constituted , its not bloody fair trade coffee , its 2 new ampliifers from English Manufacturers .

If the NVA sounds better it is bloody useless, pointless and stupid to argue well the rega's price is determined by all these overheads and middleman expenses so it should really only sound like a £250 direct selling amp . :angry-screaming:

I repeat , it is a comparison of similar priced amplifiers , how the price is arrived at is irrelevant to the comparison .

ps- welcome back ashore Jammy .

Well I only have an AP50 at £650 or an AP20 at £400 so I was doing it a favour. I could build an old AP30 at £500 but I took it out of production as I had too many models.

Can't you just see the scene in chopper control

"Boss, it's Jammy. He's asking when the chopper will be there."
"Schtum! It took us weeks to get him out there, let me think...I know, tell him there's been a lightning strike and the choppers are grounded. Phew! better start thinking of an excuse for tomorrow."
