Good question - a combination of my Sony amp behaving itself again and sheer procrastination. :D

Meant to ask, does your XV have a phonoboard fitted? It'll say on the back of the amp next to the input sockets (with 'MM' or 'MC' written in pen).

Making it louder: Sonneteer Sedley/Sonneteer Campion
Speakers: Royd Sapphire
Hooking it all up: NVA Soundcord & NVA LS6

Yes, it just says ''Coil'' on the back. I'm just using CDs at the moment.

Just missed out on what looked like quite a nice Exposure VI/Dual VII/VIII on eBay.

Daft thing is that I sat there watching it - had another tab open on the browser but when I flicked back to have a look it was too late. Something's not quite clicking right with my system at the moment, and I'm having a b*gger of a time putting my finger on the reason.

How much did it go for? (I have an interest since I have an XI, XII, Super VIII which will become redundant soon). And which system? I presume the PC? If a PC, usually a sign that you need to back up your data and rebuild (quicker than trying to figure out what is wrong.)

Your not alone! Once I almost won a lovely amp on eBay...The bloody PC FROZE and lost the bid! Some other bidder won that amp, I felt like smashing the screen

Why don't you still buy and try that 2010 S2 on AOS, you can just put the Sony away for a little bit... Anyway, it's up to you Gromit.

The S2 is tempting, Shane - shame it's in silver (shallow I know!) and it doesn't have a phonostage either although the latter is easy remedy as the Exposure board is only around 90 quid.
