I don't think so, they are REALLY rare and extremely well made. The problem is they are like Cocaine, you want to stop and get rid of them but you can't, they put something addictive in your brain. So own them at your peril. You friends and visitors will say "how the ferk can you live with these things". They are like a wife, they screech like a banshee when they are unhappy, they can irritate the ferk out of you, then they can make you melt all gooey over them or get so turned on and passionate by their behaviour you just can't stop listening to them - there you go their real purpose is to marry you  :?

Your JPW's are about 10% oddball compared with these buggers - they are seriously oddball. I think I read they are voiced to sound like a saxamaphone (bowing to Homer).

I used to listen to them at Paul Messengers gaff, he would bring them out at the end of the blind tests to wind everyone up :D "what the ferk is that noise, hold on that is really good, for christ sake they are making my ears bleed - but I LOVE them" :? :D Once heard never forgotten :ugeek:

Within striking distance for me but a bit too pricey for a punt. I had some lowther acoustas once bit they didn't do it for me. These look to be completly different animals though so I am surprised by the comparison.

Denis Morecroft exhibited with a pair once (may have been a different model with single driver?). First visit they sounded amazing. later on they were a coloured mess :|
