3k euros for these 4435's. Two 15"ers and a Dolly Parton. Aren't these the sort of big old JBL monitors Macca was looking for?

Macca, would you be tempted to make an offer on these?

They're being sold by the same chap that sold me a pair of Bozak Symphonies a few years ago.

I can remember the look on the face of the resident of the flat on the first floor as we bumped a Symphony down the stairs on a stair walking trolley.
Followed 10 minutes later by the other one.

I would go and have a listen if they were local, with a view to making an offer, but collection from London isn't really on the cards for me. They've been up for a while so no doubt he would accept a reasonable offer. I'm sure something suitable will come up closer to home at some point.

I suppose it's one of those trade-offs: quantity of possible deals vs geographic flexibility.

Indeed. New speakers are on the cards, though, as I just fancy a change. I won't be selling the Akais, though.

I have a feeling they'll have to be Champions League level speakers to top the Akais...

There's something about that JBL shade of blue.

This could be a good time for buying JBL cinema speakers from the States:
