Speaker Cabinet Maker

Unread post by selby »

Hi, I'm looking for a speaker cabinet maker...

Got some great speakers but the cabinets are ming, I could probably do it myself but am concerned the finish of the veneer will let me down.

I got one quote from a cabinet make but it was £800+VAT, I'm thinking more around the £200 mark but not sure if that's achievable.

Any ideas?
My Kit – I moved to home theatre setup sorry...Denon SR7011, Anthony Gallo A'Diva SE Fronts, SpeakerCraft Profile AIM LCR3 One Rears, BK Electronics XLS200-DF MK2 Sub, Epson Projection.

But I would love a cheeky little AP10, AP20 sort of amp for a bedroom setup...

Try and find a local sawmill, its amazing what they have hidden. A neighbour said he worked at one, turn out he owns the place and has a CNC Router. He was making some very nice bookcases for the school and the quality was very high, in the next "room" tree trunks were being cut lengthways.

I did get some made at Wilmslow Audio, without the drivers and made to my spec they were £600.
