That was my initial intention until I realised my soldering was crap! I suppose I could still give it a go...

Today both cabs have had a final rub down and have been wiped down with meths. I have just finished giving them their first coat of primer. Will give a second coat tomorrow then first coat of gloss black on Wednesday. I will tackle soldering on Thursday.

Yeah black blends in perfectly with the Indian walnut furniture in my living room. I may still veneer the front though at some point but I will live with them as they are for a while first.

Another productive day today. The last of the steel in on the back panel and the cabs have some serious weight to them now. The tweeters are in and I have glued them in with bison as recommended by the doc. I've left them with a bit of weight on them so should hopefully be set by tomorrow evening. Tomorrow I will try to get them to the point of just needing the bass driver connections soldering then that's pretty much job done. Bison glue for the bass driver then a bit of a polish. I know the project has dragged on a bit but I'm really happy to know they are almost done.
