A20x

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

The first A20x built by Dave, just as I wanted it.

I was hoping for a P20x or sa but the sa from Taiwan is pretty good but too big.

Very neat Gents..

So this has two power supplies rather than the A20's single supply?

It strikes me how elegantly simple NVA internals appear. Wonder how mainstream manufacturers end up with such a complex mass of components just to amplify a signal. It appears too they keep adding bits to 'improve' their product.

What gets my back up is manufacturers that Make a Mk.2, Mk.3 & so on. ffks its either right the first time or move on & make another model.

I must really get your back up then!

I work with with the notion of continuous improvement. Whilst it's admirable that one strives for "right first time" new materials, ideas and better techniques in manufacturing can and do provide improvements in performance.

Some manufactures like using the nomenclature of Mk 1, II etc to show they are happy with their new product, others do not.

Linn likes the term "revision" usually displayed on the underside. They also like SE of late.

Me almost everything I do is a work in progress, I grant others the courtesy of assuming they work under similar conditions.

Revision is not money grabbing per se
