Here's a better bit of info, covers the crossover.

But I would love a cheeky little AP10, AP20 sort of amp for a bedroom setup...

IMO you should have stuck to the Goodmans.

they look interesting , but you need to cover up that bloody big hole in the front baffle

According to diy audio calculator a 1.9 cap on the tweeter will block all frequencies under 10khz . I would be tempted to buy a few cheap caps up to 10 uf and experiment .

The problem with the Goodmans were size and anti-missus acceptance. I also noticed after investigating the cabinets that the Goodmans I got had slightly different cabinets which concerned. I'll happily give them to someone from the forum, collection in Reading area.

These Loths truly do deliver a stunning sound. I compared them to PMC GB1 (little floorstanders) which I rate and the Loth's are much better and better than my JPW Monitor Golds.

I'm hoping by putting them in really solid cabinets, with fresh wiring and capacitor they will sound good.

Unfortunately in my house the speaker police have the final say...actually final say on anything.

Think I might hard wire LS6 into the Loth and avoid binding post all together.

Anyone else hard wired some speakers with good results?

Think I'm going to hard wire at the speaker end and also hard wire interconnects from the amp end.

I can't wait to get this system sorted.

A numptie question What's going on here?

This is, I think, the crossover from a Richard Allan Pavane Speaker. So my question is does this meet with your 'simple' crossover approach or is it more complicated too complicated. The cable to the left is attached to the speaker input binding and the other cables go (I presume) to the drive units themselves.

That is simple for a three way speaker.

You should see some of the crossovers on the RFC site - make anything else look simple to me. He's also stopped doing Cable Talk 3 and is now stocking that Black Rhodium Twist stuff he got all hissy about when I enquired about it's capacitance.
