Hall element and Pioneer

In early days this element was expensive and its performance was unsteady so that its use was limited (not used in commercial applications).
In 1969 Pioneer succeeded in mass production of this element by evaporation method in a vacuum. Pioneer Precision Machinery Corp, as well as other makers continue to produce.

DD motors driven by DC usually use two elements as rotor position detecting sensors. Technics is using magnetic sensor (coil) instead of these element. Hall elements are seen in other makes of turntables such as Kenwood-Trio/Aiwa etc. But both motor form and construction are different to each other and no turntable maker as far as I know uses the Pioneer method now.

Its coming up for 2.30pm. Taiwan is three cultures. Original like Phillipines, later Fujian which has very good food tradition but no dim sum, Nationalist from the many that came across with Chiang Kai Shek, which was Northern (Beijing), stodgy bloody awful food. I would have to find a Cantonese (Guangdong) Restaurant. I am sure there are some here, but my aim is to leave lots of food room for Shinlin Night Market this evening, very much a Taipei tradition.

Famous foods
Fried chicken steak (炸雞排)
Small Sausage in Large Sausage (大腸包小腸)
Fried buns (生煎包)
Peanut candy (花生糖)
Oyster omelet (蚵仔煎)
Tempura (甜不辣)
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (花生奶油和果凍三明治)
Lemon aiyu jelly (檸檬愛玉)
Bubble tea (珍珠奶茶)
Stinky tofu (臭豆腐)
Oyster vermicelli (蚵仔麵線)

Spot on, but it's understandable as weather is really cold in that region,
so stodgy food is called for to fill your belly to battle the harsh environment, not my cup of Cha i must say.

P.S. impressed with your travels, i've only ever been to Hong Kong.

Opps... sorry Jamie, back on thread.
