Re: Are most people deaf?
Sorry, perhaps I should've quoted. My post was a reply to the OP.
I remember watching that episode some time ago, I think it's a worthwhile watch for anyone interested in the original post.
Available to stream/download on 5 ON DEMAND I believe.

A lot of people should get their ears syringed. Unfortunately I don't think many medics do it properly. The last time I had this done early this year the nurse did a double blast out of each ear and it was a revelation.

You can have hearing problems and not be deaf to music and its qualities, and you can have perfect hearing but be completely musically deaf IMO.

My mother has severe hearing difficulties, but loves her music.
And has quite a collection of cds....Mario Lanza included.

Mario Lanza my Great Aunt Vi favourite, Maria and the Ink Spots, she loved her music and was deaf from a V1 explosion in her left ear, she left me all her 78RPM records and lots of love for her, every day she made me a cooked breakfast before I went to college. She encouraged me to start Magnum (before Inca Tech) deaf she may have been but a great woman and a great friend. Now long gone.jammy395 wrote:Mario Lanza
