Re: T Amp
I'm doing a metaphorical lap of honour. I've built my Chinese valve buffer and despite the kit being short one LED (I had spares from another project so no problem) and having an extra diode, capacitor, and screw, it works first time. I haven't had time to test it properly but it's doing quite a nice job on Santana IV so far,
Soldering up the PCB took me precisely the same time as it took England to beat Italy in the 6 Nations this afternoon, and that includes the time it took to suss out that there were spare components and I should give up looking for somewhere to fit them.
If I can be arsed I'll try a few tracks with it in and out of the system but to be honest if everything sounds as good as this Santana (relatively speaking, I know it's a class D amp) I'll just leave it where it is and carry on enjoying the fruits of my labour.
So, that's my "third system" sorted out. I'm still waiting for the DAC to arrive from China, (NOT a kit) and then I can put the second system together and eBay the Arcams/Bushmaster all being well.
Something like this is the plan...
