It doesn't surprise me at all that all this shit zapping around the ether isn't doing us any good. Mother nature didn't design us to be bombarded 24/7 by EMR.

Thank you gentlemen for some very interesting comments. I didn't bother to look after my hearing when I was younger but I think I have dodged the bullet. I do wonder what our headphone/earbud generation of young people will be suffering from in 25 years time. I was not aware of the radio emissions potential problem. How many lawsuits will apple et al have to deal with in 2035 ?

I am a drummer and in my twenties i was playing in bands 5 nights of the week. Combine that with garden machinery at work and there is no hope for me.

Zebbo - I've news for you. If it weren't for the radiation around you all the time, we probably wouldn't exist. We grow up in a radiation environment, our bodies have evolved to accomodate that and you can't get away from it. Get used to the idea. It's fact! :naughty:

I don't think you'll find that is correct. Naturally occurring EMR, although at higher levels, is random and non-polorized whereas man-made EMR is generally polarised and "beaming" which is why it can affect the molecules in living cells.
Sorry, that was in response to madmick

There is a lot of speculation and investigation about 'man-made' EMR and the effect it has on living organisms. The trouble is that the saturation levels in Western Society are already far higher than ever before and increasing exponentially. Nobody really knows what effect this will have on our/future generations but there are correlations with increases in Autisitc Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

Commercial pressures are huge as mobile communications is a massive worldwide market and governments don't want to know because of the potentially huge health and safety costs involved.

My guess is that in 20 years EMR will be regarded a similar risk to health as tobacco now is.

Does that explain the addiction to mobile devices?

Strangely enough ....

I read a report about a year ago that a Dutch university had run a test on a group of under 25's. Their phones were taken away for about 3 or 4 hours and then blood samples were taken. These showed the same metabolic 'markers' as are seen by drug addicts during withdrawal.

The emotional / mental addiction to mobile phones is well-known, but it seems that there is also a physical aspect. Perhaps the next generation will get sick if there isn't enough electrosmog around them.

The mind boggles.
