I trialed a heavy platter on it, did not care for the results. The sound became smoother, but it lost that immediate feeling to the music which I cherish. So I decided on the stock platter. The String Theory arm works nicely with it, so I decided to go with what I know. Had to build a 3/8" spacer to get things to line out properly. This plinth was never built with this arm in mind, but it just barely fits. It is a lovely table, and I am enjoying it immensely.
