If from the CU then the correct phrase is a radial circuit, a spur is a radial taken off a ring, not a good idea makes the ring even more dodgy.

I ran an isolated spur from my CU to a pair of sockets in my living room. I use UK square-pin MK sockets/plugs and have a copper bar instead of the fuse. From this I run my DAB/FM Teac Tuner and AP10H(JS) out of one socket, and the BMU which powers the CD, DAC and the two A70's.
The difference was akin to listening later at night when the grid is more stable. Everything better.

I see. Yes, this is a radial circuit rather than a spur.
