Absolutely! Very little in Hi-Fi needs "servicing". Tape decks are the exception where the mechanism needs to be relubricated occasionally and bearings lubricated (if so indicated by the manufacturer). Other than that there is virtually nothing to wear or deteriorate. OK I will accept that some potentiometers get noisy with age but if a few sweeps from min to max don't help contact cleaner may be all that is needed.

The R200 is exactly the same fit and geometry as the RB250, but just about twice as good an arm, which showed what Rega knew about anything - nowt, how can a company replace something good with something crap and get away with it, answer because of magazine and retail shop knob heads. No matter what DSJR for all his mates (see last sentence) cajoling and nagging him say Rega are not much better now. ANYTHING they make can be outperformed at the price and it can be proved = bake-off.

Well I'm now glad I bought my Rega Planar 3 just before the R200 was replaced. The magazines were making me think otherwise.
