Do not touch these with a barge pole they have been seriously molested with, to the point they no longer meet ClassII appliance regulations so the CE is no longer valid and they are breaking the law.

Lovely high quality repair on the case, if he can't get that right what chance for the inside?
Output devices don't fail during normal operation so what was the owner doing to fry them I wonder?

I saw them earlier today and was going to ask why is the NVA logo on the LHS of the case?

As Geoff says nice repairs to the case!

Emporium have become a bunch of rip off merchants. Their prices on used kit of dubious providence is ridiculous. You would have thought they would have sent these to NVA for repair. Likely would have cost them less. Looks like they destroyed the cases!

The case does look like something made at infant school with sticky back plastic and breakfast cereal boxes.

I don't understand the difficulty in gluing it all back together square?

If you think that is bad then they really fecked it up inside. I phoned and spoke to the *engineer* thick wanker, "I normally don't work on hi-fi" drilled the heatsink and screwed down the output devices, and there goes class II compliance, I hate to think what else he did. I hate it being out there and I can't stop it being sold as NVA.

Can you report it to eBay Doc?

Tried - they don't care, it is second hand and they have said what has been done to it, so it is buyer beware.

Oh OK Doc. Big shame though as I thought it could damage NVA's reputation. eBay surely makes enough out of NVA.

Though, anyone would be foolish to purchase these amps in such a dire state of repair, so hopefully they won't sell.

Alfi.

Well the scenario will be someone like Marco will say it is real NVA and publish pictures of it at AoS like he has done before with botched repairs. Oh yes! how sad! he has made that against the forum rules. BUT he can break them when ever he wants as he gave himself a get out clause.
