I'd read it again if I were you.

I tend to think you need to be a smart as me if your going to be as arrogant as me. Having not been me for 18 months or so while my brain worked things out, I have a unique insight.

I'll take that as you saying I was right.

Not that being "right" is important of course. ;)

We tried out 5 different load resistors for the preamp upgrades - the most expensive was one of the least liked.
Was the Charcroft Z-Foil one of the least liked ?

I took them and think they're fine. But I have nothing to compare them to. Maybe I try the Audio Notes one day.

Polypropylene caps are superior to electrolytics in the signal path of an amp as far as SQ is concerned. This would be true for power supplies also, but polys would be huge in size in the values generally used, which is why ‘lytics are used. Polys will also last far longer than lytics.

Were these the Tantalum 0,5W, 1W or 2W ones or the non-magnetic or the silver non-magnetic (only if you like to tell!)?

Have a chat with Tomasz by PM - he is the 'fine details' man when it comes to values.

Thank you, I will after the 17th of November. Now it's his family time.
