Cables plural is right. Have ordered 2 to use with the Oehlbach regen in the middle.

Should be in over 2 weeks or so.

Well that was annoying.

Placed my order with Amazon for the DH Labs USB cables and the next day received a message that my money was being refunded due to 'Pricing error'.

Checked the Amazon.nl site and the price has gone from just under 50 euro to just over 60, P&P is still free though.

So I have put in a new order - the Silver Sonic cable still costs less than half that of AQ Carbon - and I have found one review on Amazon where a purchaser says that it sounds better.

See if it works this time.

Is that strictly legal, Fretless? Surely if the goods are offered at a price, and your order was accepted (did you get an email to say it was accepted?) you should get them at that price? I'd fire off an email to DH Labs too, because according to their website they have 20% off all through July, tell them how poorly you were treated by Amazon. Lay it on thick.

Amazon are also prone to sending the wrong item. I ordered a USB micro B connection and received USB C. Looking at the reviews I was not the only one they did this to. Prefer to buy cables from Futureshop.

Now I'm getting pissed off.

My second order at a slightly higher price has also been immediately cancelled by the seller (a shop in Florida).
Might follow your advice Slinger and start complaining to Amazon and the seller. See if it helps.

What sort of feedback has the American seller got, Fretless? I've seen a fair few US based sellers that are scam merchants. They quote a long delivery time and then nothing ever turns up.

It might be worth emailing these guys too:

Audioarte
Phone: (31) 0618804133
Fax: (31) 7433597
E-Mail: info@audioarte.nl
Web Site: www.audioarte.nl

They are linked as distributors on the Silversonic website.

Right. Had contact with the seller who explained that he has a problem with Amazon, who have set his mailing costs to zero.

Now trying the Netherlands distributor Audioarte See if I can make some headway there.

Obsessive side has kicked in again....

Good news for all the USB (and other) cable fans out there; I've found a store in Canada which stocks the likes of Wireworld, Cardas and DH Labs. Plus, the shipping charges are reasonable AND there are big discounts (up to 60%) to be found.

https://www.partsconnexion.com/

Couldn't resist - have ordered a DH Labs Mirage USB at 40% discount.

"I think I'm going slightly mad...."
