And one new purchase in vinyl, the first in ages, :o Eleanor McEvoy - Naked Music.

That London Grammar album is really special. A truly beautiful voice, impressive musicianship and production. This is one of the few 'contemporary' albums that really is worth listening to.

Youtube: ASIA Live in Moscow

In the political chaos immediately following the fall of the Berlin Wall, Asia became the first western rock band to play in Moscow. Documented on the CD/DVD set 'Live in Moscow 1990'. The performances are sharp and muscular, Pat Thrall having taken over the guitar role and injecting some searing metal leads in places. The version I have is released by Eagle Vision and the SQ on the CD is crisp with excellent dynamics - haven't seen the video yet.

A celebration of the power of music to cross borders and inspire.

Having many ASHRA moments.

I was going to list a few from the later 70's, but anything by Manuel Gotsching will do - loads on YouTube :D Even E2-E4 has a kind of hypnotic quality to it.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...
