Reggae star John Holt has passed away at the age of 67. His biggest hit was a cover of Kris Kristofferson’s Help Me Make It Through the Night, in 1974 but there was a lot more to him than that single.

On the 5th of November we lost flamenco guitarist Manitas de Plata, aged 93. The 1960s were his heyday but guitarists everywhere should know his name. If you're a fan of The Gypsy Kings then you'll have heard his sons Diego, Paco, and Tonino (Baliardo) as well as his nephews Paul, François (a.k.a.Canut), Patchaï, Nicolas, and André (Reyes.)

Well I think its always a great loss once an artist goes tit's up........But I never knew Mr Plata or Sabah's work's.
But having a soft spot for Reggae however I did know and enjoy the work of Mr J Holt......So RIP John. :pray: :cry:
