I'm a young sidewinder, a high note finder
A fiddler, a gypsy, and a wandering soul
I'm a little bit crazy, a little bit lazy
And I don't feel at home unless I'm on the road
I got rambling fever down deep in my bones
From backroads and byways to places unknown
From wasteland to Graceland or wherever I roam
And I'm never alone on the road
I'm a cigarette smoker, a corny joke joker
But I can get mean when my back's on the wall
I'm a helluva drinker and weird thought thinker
And I do things my way or no way at all
I got rambling fever down deep in my bones
From backroads and byways to places unknown
From wasteland to Graceland or wherever I roam
And I'm never alone on the road
I can get mighty squirrelly, a little bit surly
But everything changes when you're moving along
Uncomfortable silence, we'll leave that behind us
And write it all down in the words of a song
I got rambling fever down deep in my bones
From backroads and byways to places unknown
From wasteland to Graceland or ever I roam
And I'm never alone on the road
And I'm never alone on the road

Could be that Patti Smith is a candidate for my 'have to get around to hearing that again' list.

Saga 'Worlds Apart'
Produced by the late Rupert Hine who gives Saga's pomp/prog a snappy, radio-friendly sheen. Catchy songs and tight playing make this their most essential album.

Brilliant Terry.
I have collected quite a lot of Turkish CD's on my holidays there. Some wonderful music in a hugely varied land.

Joni Mitchell 'Miles of Aisles' HDCD Remaster
One of my (several) favourite Joni albums and finally, finally I've tracked down a copy of the late 90's HDCD remaster from Canada.
Revelatory crisp, clear audio that blows the muffled, muddy sound of the older CD edition into dusty shadows.
This is a wonderful snapshot of a master, sorry, Mistress of her craft with a fine and solid band behind her just out there, playing her exquisite diamonds of songs.
An album every self-respecting music lover should own and cherish.
The HDCD reissues of all Joni's early albums are sometimes hard to find bit worth the extra effort. Look for the HDCD logo on the back cover. The 10CD 'Studio Albums' box contains about 5 discs with the later remastering (although you can't see it). The revised 'Miles of Aisles' never got a European release.
Me - I'm melting away into the music.
