Cymande - Second Time Round (1973). African and reggae influenced funk from the early 70's. Cymande were British though you would swear they were native Africans just by listening to it. Much more popular in America than here. They dispanded in 1974 after recording four albums because of the lack of interest by the British music press. Bloody travesty if you ask me. They are amazing and much better than a lot of the shite (Genesis) that was popular about this time.
