It's now being reported that his obituary may have been a tad premature.

As most will know the death of Tom Petty has been confirmed. Frankly feared the worst after report of being found unconscious. RIP Tom. This has come as a great shock as he finished a tour a few days ago and was one of the few older acts that still produced great music. Thought there was many years left in the man. Certainly he will be regarded as one of the greats of American rock music though I felt he was somewhat underappreciated in the UK. Can't say he ever made a bad album.

Just read the sad news about Malcolm Young and am very saddened. He was the heart and soul of AC/DC.

Yes indeed, R.I.P, Malcolm. He'd been suffering from dementia for some years, sadly.

Not exactly one of my "rock" idols, but still sad. From the recent news reports I thought it would only be a matter of time. Same age as my missus was.

I was in the fan club - which had more members than the Beatles and Elvis fan clubs combined.

I thought it was time I updated it. That was taken on Monday, just before I got sheared. I'm now back to a #2 cut.
