Helen Reddy, the Australian singer behind feminist anthem I Am Woman, has died aged 78.

I remember her best for 'Angie Baby' which I think was her highest charting record in the UK. RIP.

Eddie Van Halen, the all-American guitar hero who, with his namesake hard-rock band Van Halen, redefined the sound and possibilities of the electric guitar in the 1970s and ’80s, died on Tuesday at age 65. The cause was throat cancer.

Grantham musician Brian Locking, who played bass guitar with The Shadows in the sixties, has died.
Brian, who was 82, died in north Wales this week, but had lived most of his life in Grantham, moving there as a small boy with his family. He was born in Bedworth.
Friend and fellow Grantham musician Trevor Leeson said Brian had been ill for some time and, after a period in intensive care, he died in a hospice in Wales.

R.I.P. Ken Hensley.
Ken Hensley, best known as Uriah Heep’s keyboard player and chief songwriter from 1970 to 1980, has died, following a short illness. He was 75.
