Sadly the creative force behind Hemisphere, Ralf Knappe-Heinbockel, died some years back but has left a series of intense and beautiful recordings for us to discover and enjoy.

New to me as well - nice.

Currently rediscovering TD's 'Tournado' and 'Valentine Wheels' live albums from 1997 (available together as the set 'Lamb With Radar Eyes'); these aren't as bad as my memory had them down to be.

Fantastic Mr Slinger, I do like a bit of Bill Bailey.

Tangerine Dream fans are long-suffering and patient folk who have waited decades and endured a plethora of easy-listening muzak releases in the hope that once, just once, a flash of brilliance would return to the band that blazed the way for pretty well the entire EM genre.

It took the death of founder Edgar Froese to do it - but our prayers are answered.

In memory of Edgar - and working on ideas he sketched out some years back - the 'NEW' (or should that be 'renewed'?) TD of Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane have created 'Quantum Gate'.

What can I say? iI is utterly, utterly, utterly gorgeous.

Still waiting for my copy Fretless but you've wetted my appetite.
