The site below might be of interest to anyone liking the "Original Album Series" of CDs. For those of you who haven't come across it before (the must be someone) it's a series that parcels together a bunch of albums (usually 5) by an artist and bungs them out as a budget set. For instance, I bought both of their Emmylou Harris releases to duplicate some of her vinyl albums that I own and got 10 CDs for the grand total of £19.98 courtesy of Amazon. You'll quite probably be surprised by a lot of their content even if you have seen or bought some of their sets before, and it's all parcelled up for you here...
Original Album Series
Bet you can't stop yourself from ordering at least one set. Amazon stock most, if not all, of them.

Re: The "Original Album Series"
Have to agree with you there, Slinger. These sets are a great way to get to grips with new artists & music for little cash.
The packaging is minimal (single card slip-cases like mini-lp sleeves) but the mastering/SQ are all really good. A quick look at my CD stack reveals sets from: Blood Sweat & Tears, Tim Buckley, Chicago, Jefferson Starship, Laura Nyro, Todd Rundgren and Carly Simon. All artists that I would have hesitated on paying full-price for but I am glad that I found them via these collections.
Thoroughly recommended. And I've got the Michael Schencker Group box on my wants list.

It's the Peel Sessions I'm after. Donut In Grannys Greenhouse but with two songs swapped around (lyrics and tunes).

Re: The "Original Album Series"
For all those who haven't yet explored the strange world of Soft Machine (and for those who have, as well) if you see their 'Original Album Classics' box then snap it up - you won't be disappointed.
This set covers the albums from 'Third' to 'Seven' and sees them journey from psychedelic weirdo adventurers through avant-garde jazz freaks to electronic fusion meltdown masters. Some of the strangest and finest music made in the 70's.
What's more - ALL the albums have received an amazing remaster job that truly presents these phenomenal recordings in a new light. I cannot recommend this set highly enough. Buy !

Re: The "Original Album Series"
I too have bought a few of these over the years. I think they're great value, albeit the packaging is pretty basic. Off the top of my head I know I've bought music by Spirit, Man, Dr.John Chris Rea, Al Stewart, and Rory Gallagher. There's probably more but my minds gone blank.
