Never fails to bring a wee tear to my eye. :character-willie: :guiness;
A wonderful sound, as long as the piper is on the walls of a castle, and I am the other side of the loch. Distance lends enchantment!

Strange, but both my dog's seem to love the "Dr Who" theme music..... :!:
They usually dash into the living room upon hearing it, and stare at the telly,
ears (not legs) cocked and tails wagging. :animals-dogrun: :animals-dogrun:

On reflection Jammy got it right "Never fails to bring a wee tear to my eye" music speaks to the emotions, if it doesn't we probably don't like it much.

Music speaks to us in a way that no other ''language'' can. I am never sure if it a emotional reaction to the music, a memory stimulus, a just a pure pleasure thing, in way a familiar voice is. I also find the mood and circumstance has a large bearing on what I want to listen too. My must listen to today can be the last thing I want to hear tomorrow. I will go from listening to Dust and Kate Bush through Nina Simone or Ane Brun today, tomorrow could be art Blakey and Brubeck. All that goes out of the window when Mags decides to Join me, with her it will be more a era she wants to listen to, rather than individual artists.
