This is good to see but does not go far enough. Sites like Ticketmaster should be closed down.

completely agree these sites are a fecking disgrace as if ticket prices were not high enough anyway
ive practically given up going to gigs these days because of the behaviour of audiances stoned /drunk/constantly getting up for a piss /talking on there phones
or filming concert nobody i really want to see anyway there nearly all dead or way past it

Having spent £300 quid on genesis tickets ,only for the company to go bust a day later and spent £400 quid on a England world cup 1998 ticket from a tout in Marseille , I am somewhat ambivalent upon this issue .

There are way rounds it , Artists with high demand should implicate systems like football teams who sell tickets to season ticket holders , members , vouchers holders for away games etc , this in effect means real fans get priority , not just 02 users .

When I go to a concert at the Motorpoint in Cardiff I purchase it from the box office and pay cash for the face value of the ticket. This is easy for me as it is near where I work. Not everyone is so fortunate. Ticketmaster charge up to twice as much as I pay. In some cases Ticketmaster are selling the tickets, at grossly inflated prices, before they are on sale at the box office and before the gig has been officially announced (ticket price information not yet available). How they can be allowed to get away with this beggers belief. They are the entertainment equivalent of Linn Products!

Sadly nothing has changed since my opening post nearly three years ago. I bought my Who ticket from the box office this morning for £24 less than the lowest price on line shark was charging.
