Looking back for a few of my 'heavy' classics:

Mountain 'Nantucket Sleighride'
If only for the monstrous title track.

Mountain - Nantucket Sleighride (To Owen Coffin)

Heart 'Little Queen'
With 'Barracuda' - who says ladies can't rock?

Metallica '... and Justice for All'
Headbanging to 'One' at the Rockhouse in Derby - those were the days. :character-beavisbutthead:

Metallica - One [Official Music Video]

Husker Du 'Warehouse Songs & Stories'
Underrated and overlooked - but this is an album of passion and energy.
For those who like buzzsaw guitars.

Warehouse: Songs and Stories - Full Album by Hüsker Dü (1987)

Of the current generation I think that TesseracT stand head and shoulders above the rest, especially the most recent album 'Polaris'

It was The New Penny in my Derby days. Saw Ginger Baker's Airforce there. Local band 'Charge'.

That's enough lightweight stuff. Let's have some proper hard rock.

The Stooges for sure. But Bill Haley isn't hard rock.

My Rory Gallagher "collection" although I'd class him as blues-rock rather than hard or heavy rock.
