Check out The Easy All Stars' "Dub Side Of The Moon" for a really classy reggae take on Floyd. I've got an album of Bluegrass Pink Floyd covers somewhere too, but Hayseed Dixie do a great "Comfortably Numb."

If you've never come across them before and enjoyed that you should try some of their other covers too - Bohemian Rhapsody and Ace of Spades are fun. They're a bit of a "Marmite" band, but I love 'em.

Hayseed Dixie do a compelling version of Bohemian Rhapsody too!

Are we discussing Pink Floyd fans here, or fans of fans of Pink Floyd?
Yes I am a fan. Was 17 when Welcome to the Machine was released. I had hitch-hiked (illegally) to see the Pompeii concert, and have been a life-long fan ever since. It was the stage shows and electronic wizardry that I found the most fascinating. The music was sublime and enhanced by light shows and other visual accouterments.
Even now after nearly 50years they remain a mainstay of my collection.

They should have split after Roger left. The Gilmour period is woeful.

Pink Floyd was always a favourite to play whilst on mind altering drugs, especially the pre dsotm stuff. Try dropping purple haze and listening to echoes - i can remember it like yesterday (20 years ago)
