Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...

One thing I ain't and that's 'shifty' (looking at one of the smilies...). It's not a safe-as-houses kind of amp as a Quad would be in comparison, but neither is it grainy and obviously band-limited as the Salisbury lot have sold for thirty odd years (or certainly since 1980 when the CB range came out)!
You know, I feel awful about playing a part in the UK brainwashing we were part of. I wasn't a big player, but I remember with shame how the little (and I think, the pre power too) Myst amp peed all over the then harsh toned, flat perspective Naim, but the juggernaut of the terrible twosome held sway and we didn't take them on. The Rock II was different, as it was cheaper and not as good looking or as well finished as the fruitbox is. DNM had ideals too, but the prices were and remain very high, so a different market. Glenn Croft is far too small to make a difference and E.A.R. sells bucketloads abroad apparently.

Fed up with stalling a proper Hifi purchase as the house move / permeant residence is just taking too long and wasted too much time, effort and money on a hires streaming source.jammy395 wrote:Go on Shevans, I double dare ya.......................
Oh dear, I measured out the P90 size and it would fit, now I need to think about 3.5m of speaker cable as I don't have any NVA left. Just the new Talk3 and Van Damme Blue but both under 200pF a meter

Everything fell though, various houses and closure of the secondary school department in Shetland. In the meantime secondary school allocations for September have given our eldest girl a place at a great girls school in Ware (Presdales) and too good an opportunity to miss seeing as we have so many girls so staying in Hertfordshire.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:What happened to Shetland.
